Alli and FDA Approved Weight Loss Pills

fda approved weight loss pills alliFDA approved weight loss pills have ORLISTAT as their main ingredient but unfortunately, they have a few side effects which are rather embarrassing. Alli is probably the first and only FDA approved over the counter weight loss pill. It is meant to reduce fat absorption in the body because of its main ingredient; unburned calories are stored as fat so this is where Alli comes into play. But despite its approval with the FDA or Food and Drug Administration, a lot of people still ask:

  1. Does it really work?
  2. Are there better alternatives?
  3. What are the cons and side effects?

Do FDA Approved Weight Loss Pills Work?

Yes, Alli does work and it can promote weight loss effectively. It also reduces blood pressure and Alli also has some great references to keep your food intake in check, even when you out of the house. It also provides some great tools to help you prevent your cravings and it’s got a great online community to help you throughout your journey.

Are there better alternatives?

Alli is a very costly diet product since they cost around $50 for the starter pack and $70 for the refills. While there’s still no testimony as to how much weight is lost when taking Alli, exercise and a healthy diet are still the cheapest and better alternative. Disadvantages of FDA Approved Weight Loss Pills Like Alli

Like any drug, Alli still retains its side effects which are embarrassing for some. These side effects include:

  • 25% of dietary fat is only blocked from absorption
  • Not meant for those trying to lose a few pounds because they’re only meant for the obese.
  • Very expensive product. It can cost you $50 for the starter and $70 for refills.
  • Induces uncomfortable bowel movements
  • No long term side effects discovered because it’s a new product

Just because they’re the only FDA approved weight loss pills doesn’t guarantee long term weight loss; even though studies have proven that the weight lost by taking Alli is moderate. I am not stopping you from trying Alli though; if you have the cash and can adjust to the side effects, you can make Alli work for you.
